The Mississippi SNAP program was formerly known as the food stamp program. In 2008, the US Congress changed the name of the program to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. You can then take your time filling out the application and bring it to your local county office in order to submit it or you can mail it through US mail. You will have to attend an interview to complete its termination for your eligibility and if you are eligible you are sent a client notice in the mail.
